Toronto Walking Soccer Club is proud to lead the growth of women’s walking soccer in Toronto. We support the women’s game by creating inclusive, welcoming, and competitive opportunities for women of all ages and abilities.

Whether you’re returning to football, staying active, or trying the sport for the first time, walking soccer offers a fun, low-impact way to play while building community and confidence.

If you're over 40, and interested in playing walking soccer please get in contact! Play all-women or co-ed, it's your choice! Your first game is FREE!

Supporting & Growing the Women’s Game

At Toronto Walking Soccer Club, supporting women’s football and walking soccer is central to our mission. We are committed to removing barriers and creating clear pathways for women to play recreationally and competitively, from grassroots to Canada national team.

We proudly welcome:

  • Women new to football
  • Players returning after time away
  • Women seeking competitive or representative opportunities

Our programme is built around inclusion, progression, and community — helping grow women’s walking soccer in Toronto, Ontario, and beyond.

Making History in Women’s Walking Soccer

In 2024, Toronto Walking Soccer Club hosted the first-ever all-women’s walking soccer match in Canada, held at Cherry Beach Sports Fields in Toronto — a landmark moment for women’s sport.

We also organised and hosted the first international women’s walking soccer tournament in North America, held in Pickering, Ontario. The event received widespread media coverage and helped establish Toronto as a leader in walking soccer.

Three Toronto Walking Soccer Club members (Negar Farjadia, Jasmine Suhner, Greg Mitchell) were selected for the Canadian 50+ Women’s World Nations Cup Team, competing at the World Nations Cup in Spain (2026). The team achieved an outstanding bronze medal, finishing third behind England and France — highlighting the strength and quality of Canadian women’s walking soccer.

All Abilities Welcome — No Experience Needed

Never played walking soccer before? No problem.
Never played football at all? Let's get you started!

Toronto Walking Soccer Club offers a friendly, supportive environment where women can stay active, meet new people, and enjoy the game at a walking pace. We are also leading plans to host the first women’s walking soccer league in the Americas, expanding opportunities for women across the region.
