Where We Play

Our games are played on turf and grass fields situated near Downtown Toronto. During the spring and summer months, our primary location is the fantastic Cherry Beach Sport Fields, equipped with state-of-the-art turf, washrooms, and water fountains.

You can find its exact location here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/UVotczKUnYqevpWG8.

When winter arrives, we transition indoors, playing matches on indoor turf fields or walking futsal in school gyms.

Our Aim

Our overarching goal is to enhance awareness of walking soccer on a national scale throughout Canada. In pursuit of this, we aspire to establish a vibrant community of older adults who share a passion for soccer, fostering healthy lifestyles, and, above all, enjoying the sport. Our club operates in a non-competitive spirit, prioritizing the joy of playing soccer while creating opportunities for skill improvement and the formation of new friendships and relationships.

While we maintain a non-competitive ethos, we are open to occasional competitive play, exemplified by our hosting of the Loons Cup—a friendly yet spirited tournament that adds an extra layer of excitement and camaraderie to our soccer endeavors. Join us in promoting health, camaraderie, and the sheer enjoyment of the beautiful game.

Sustainability

In our commitment to environmental responsibility, we actively discourage the use of single-use plastics, particularly bottles of packaged water. Instead, we encourage players to bring their own reusable water containers, promoting sustainability by facilitating easy refills at our facility. Our game shirts are crafted from a blend of recycled plastics, and we prioritize the use of environmentally friendly inks in the printing process whenever feasible.

To further reduce our ecological footprint, we adopt a policy of reusing and repairing all uniforms and pinnies to the fullest extent. This extends beyond apparel, as our selection of equipment is guided by a focus on longevity, with repairs being undertaken whenever possible.

Additionally, we advocate for the purchase of used equipment, diverting items from landfills and contributing to a more sustainable approach within our sports community. Our holistic approach underscores our dedication to both the enjoyment of the game and the well-being of our environment.
